Personal tragedies are horrible. I have had a few and I am grateful there were none this year.

Watching a dream of greater acceptance of equality and tolerance die? Also horrible.

I'm sorry for your loss, but happy for you and your daughter. This happened to me in 2008. My daughter was married and a few months later daddy died. It gets easier, but hard this time of year. Merry Christmas.

Here's my message for 2016: Don't let the door hit you on the a-- on the way out. I lost several people significant to my life.

It was a very difficult year for my husband and I, but we are thankful that we have one another, that we have a roof over our head and plenty to eat, and we are praying that 2017 will be the best year yet!

@Bird mama I have had so much happen to me over the years you would think I could bench press a buick, but somehow the Lord gives me the strength to carry on, I hope I do not disappoint!
