I bought a set of Energizer 10 piece solar lights for my path and garden.I bought them from Jet.com and they didn't come with directions. I figured out how to set them up. They have an on off switch and I put it in the on position. They have been sitting out for a week and don't seem to be charging up, they don't light up in the evening. Am I doing something wrong? I did read that you should keep it in the off position for 3 days, then switch them on so they get a chance to get a full charge. I am trying that with one of them to see if that helps. If anyone has some advice I would welcome it!

They often have a tab protecting the battery that must be pulled out in order for them to operate. Strange there were no directions.

There isn't much to them.
Turn on
Check batteries are inserted correctly
Placed in full sun
Only other thing I can think of is something is wrong with the batteries. Do you have a battery tester to check them? They are expensive to replace. If the reviews are good, contact Jet about swapping them out. I've had four or five sets over the years and didn't have any that wouldn't light.

Keep them in the "OFF" position, pull out battery protection tab (if applicable) and let them charge in the sun for a couple of days. Once fully charged then push switch into the "ON" position and your lights should come on when it gets dark. HTH.
When dealing with most solar lights, the battery is the most critical part of them working properly. Correct size and type battery used is essential. They are not expensive to replace.

I bought energizer solar light a few years ago. I turned mined on and they lit up the 1st night. After a few days... my lights never really got bright but stayed lit for a few hours each night. BUT, this time of year... They hardly light up. Not sure how much sun you are getting this time year. That could be the problem.

Thanks to everyone for their replies. I did pull the tabs out and made sure the batteries were in correctly. I'm going to see if letting the one charge up while off helps.
