Catholic Relief Services is already on the ground and running for Ukraine. They also spend less than many other charities on administration.

That's right. I chose CRS and World Central Kitchen because they are both there supplying aid and have excellent ratings.

I think cash donations are what are being requested now. They can buy needed supplies get it to the point of need very quickly. There are many good organizations working there with the refugees and also the many orphanages that are still trying to move some of their special needs children out of harm's way. Most of the groups mentioned are legit. I would just be cautious of sending money to any group just because they are famous. Charities can be well- known but not well-run.

International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) is active in Ukraine, as well as many other places, helping with wildlife and domestic animals.
Highly rated by Charity Navigator, too.

Samaritan's Purse is a 501 (c)3 organization
I look at the % that an organization spends on Administrative costs . I do not donate to any with high administrative costs because they usually do not actually get much of the money donated to those in need.

I have not heard of this organization, but am going to research it .... humans need a lot of help, but so do the animals.
