RE: UKRAINE - BEST WAYS TO DONATE?

I am positive several have good answers to my question.

Much of what I've seen for how to help the people of Ukraine has been a little haphazard, or maybe I haven't been paying attention.

So ...........

Where are you donating if you have done so .... or if you haven't donated, where would you do so if you did?

I don't want to get involved in products getting from one place to another ... I want to donate CASH to whatever agency is handing these things the best ....

What's your take on this?

Re: RE: UKRAINE - BEST WAYS TO DONATE?

@Tinkrbl44 - On ABC World News Tonight (David Muir) they posted at the end that donations could be made to Unicef to help the children affected, so that's where I made a donation.

The website they gave (without breaking any forum policies) was UnicefUSA.org/ABC.  It brings you right to the page for Ukraine.

I'm sure others will have recommendations, but at least this is a well-known humanitarian organization.

My church has a very well organized humanitarian effort and they help with various issues all over the world. No overhead either. Been donating through them for years.

@Tinkrbl44 Unicef and United Way are well-known charities that are accepting donations for Ukraine.

I also donated through my church.  The general oganization has people on the ground there and in neighboring countries (companies? did I really type that), so I think that might be my best option.   They know people there.

@Tinkrbl44

I just donated to World Central Kitchen. This is the one started by chef Jose Andres.

They're feeding Ukranian families and refugees.

I will be donating to one or more of the animal rescues, too.
