Question on FaceBook

I notice on newsfeeds etc.... in the comments , people just list names....I can not figure out why they do that. They do not say anything....no comment.... just list one or more names of unknown people.

Does anyone know why they do it?🤔🤔🤔

However, if it's in a Closed group you will notice the name of the person tagged is greyed out unless they are also a member of that group. Since you cannot see the content of a Closed group unless you are a member, those people will not see that they have been tagged.
