This is an active shooting and you can watch live coverage at WCNC.  Unfortunately two students have passed and the shooter (another student) is in custody.  Two more transported to local hospitals in critical condition.

I don't even know what to say anymore.  May God have mercy on their souls and wrap His loving arms around their loved ones.

I shudder when I read things like this. My daughter  has to wear a bullet proof vest to work . She is a cop at a big 10 school.

God rest the souls of the victims and keep all safe

I have been waiting/watching for over 15 minutes and decided to post one of the local affiliates.  I have no idea why they haven't at least broken in but my guess is they don't want to interfere with their lucrative evening line ups.

BREAKING: At least 2 dead in shooting at University of North Carolina, Charlotte At least two people were killed and two suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting on the campus of University of North Carolina, Charlotte on Tuesday evening. A suspect was reported to be in custody, and the campus remains on lockdown while officials sweep the buildings.

You would think above all places a university would be safe

My daughters first day of work , decades ago ,she was called out on what proved to be a double homicide, played out right before her eyes

They just started wearing bullet proof vests back then, and before they left to answer the call , she and her partner both put them on. She has worn one ever since
