Question for the book readers

Do you list,  or track the books you read?  Do you try to read so many books, at such and such a time.  ?? Those sort of things.  Or do you just read one and go to the next one?

Re: Question for the book readers

My library's website can keep track of the books I've read.  Usually read 2 at a time, 1 fiction, the other non-fiction.  Heading there today to pick up 3 books.  Don't like to be without--LOL!!

Re: Question for the book readers

I wish that I had listed them even way back in my twenties.  Many times I have bought a book or checked out a book just to realize I had already read it.  The library tracks and lists the books I read on my account so I can look at that.   In 2019 I counted how many books I read for 2018 and it was 336 books.  I was shocked.   I pretty much stick to new releases at this point.  But I do re-read my seasonal books too.  I started this morning rereading the Cape Light series which is something I do every Halloween to New Years.

Re: Question for the book readers

I love goodreads.com! You can set an annual challenge for yourself, read reviews, mark books you'd like to read and keep track of books you have read. If you read on a Kindle it will interact with your Kindle (a little bit) and you can also see what any friends on goodreads are reading.

Re: Question for the book readers

99% of the time, I only read library books, and the online portal keeps track of what I have read. I read one book at a time generally in the evening.

Re: Question for the book readers

I wish I would've kept track over the years and noted what I thought of them.

Re: Question for the book readers

I read on a kindle and Amazon keeps track of what I've read and I keep books on I want on my wish list.

Re: Question for the book readers

I intentionally reread some books.  I find that as I have aged I have gained new insights and perspectives.  I bring these to a second reading.

Re: Question for the book readers

I read and go on to the next one. I have a list of books that I want to read, and when I read it, I take if off the list and continue. I belong to Goodreads, where you can read about new and upcoming books, as well as enter drawings to win new books.

I have found many good new authors on Goodreads.....Its free, and easy to sign up. I love reading and always have ever since I was a child, so for me it is  nice and relaxing.
