OH NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HSN really is more fun.  QVC has the same old, same old all the time.

I do like quite a few things from Denim & Co. but that's about it for QVC.  We all know the Dyson days, the Mixer days, the mattress days, SPARE ME more of the same!

HSN clothes are not my style, but their kitchen items are much more varied, love the mini rice cooker, and the Phillips air dryer I bought there.

LOVE their beauty specials, especially the nail polish and FREE SHIPPING.

Just bought a great fan there that looks like a little robot, it's incredibly strong.

IMO, it's awful news that QVC is taking them over.

I think they just bought out their competition and I don't think HSN will be around long.

My first thoughts too...maybe QVC a la Florida or QVC 4th Station or QVC Foursome or QVC Quartet!! Smiley Happy

Bad news for delivery. I get stuff fast from HSN guess that's over now.

Course, they're based in Florida not PA. All your bad weather is in N.E.

Lot less problems in Florida to Tx.

I live IN Pa and HSN is still faster!!

I ordered two items from QVC on June 21 and they are STILL NOT HERE.

And they weren't back-ordered or delayed shipping.  QVC has always had terrible shipping, HSN comes to my house in a couple of days.

Wow, I don't do a lot of shopping anymore but I do enjoy watching many shows on HSN as opposed to QVC.  Whatever happened to anti-trust laws?

For me, this is a bummer.

@momtochloe

it is not necessarily a done deal yet. they had tried this before, i believe and the FTC nixed it........ we have to wait and see if they will allow it to go through this time.

I have never bought anything from HSN, but to check their channel out from time to time with the Q is boring, to see what they are selling, it maybe just in name only, and business as usual, but you all know Banks do this all the time and so do other businesses, I guess we will just have to see!  I bet David Venable would love to move to FL, since he goes there a lot on vacation, LOL!

I hope the merger doesn't go through.

I think this is bad for customers but also for vendors; now we don't have a viable option other than QVC (I'm not too keen for Evine).

This is a blow to consumers and competition. HSN was doing a far better job IMO with customer satisfaction and appreciating loyal consumers by offering discounts on a regular basis and free shipping.

I'm also concerned about the lack of product offerings on HSN if QVC owns the entire company. I have found great options at HSN lately and I'm concerned that they will now simply carry only QVC products.

This is not good news for me. This is basically almost a monopoly now.

Re: QVC Buys HSN

[ Edited ]

Now, you can see My Pillow, Mattresses, Dyson,

the TSV's ,  and others, on all 4 channels.

You'll never have to go without

Oh thanks for this @sunshine45 as I now do remember them trying this before.  Like I said, I rarely buy or watch but I do enjoy a lot of the cooking or home shows on HSN and would be bummed if this merger would go through.  My concern would be what HSN offerings could potentially be nixed for additional QVC programming which to be honest I find rather repetitive and/or outdated for the past few years.
