Re: QUESTION ABOUT YOGURT EXP. DATE

@NicksmomESQ  I've seen those reports and agree.

But with my medical history, I just can't risk it. With my luck, I'd end up with "intestinal" trouble!

W/out my previous history I'd likely eat the yogurt, but not at this time of my life (smile).

No, never, no.  Maybe you're joking?  A YEAR?????  Why would someone risk food poisoning or even far worse to save the cost of a container of yogurt. A buck?  This is cra-cra.

No way should you eat them.  Only go out a few days if they are not opened.

This is the  best QUOTE of 2019.

I agree, I always say...

When in doubt

Throw it OUT!!!

A 90 cents item is not worth me being sick all night.

What I do is I write the date on the top of my yogurt and milk so I can see the date.

That helps a lot.

Yogurt should be thrown out 2 weeks after expiration date. It is possible that even closed yogurt can grow bacteria that you cannot taste. Not worth taking the chance.

I googled spoiled dairy and I can confirm the reading did indicate that MOST Times, spoiled dairy will not have a smell right away...but it is spoiled.

I remember one day, I had egg nog in the refrigerator for like 2 weeks.

Hubby went to drink it, I said...isn't that SPOILED??  You should throw that oUT.

OH NO, Mr. BIG SHOT...Mr. "I GOT THIS"....

It did not smell so he was like....I got this, you are wasting FOOD, People are STARVING.....

SO I just steped aside...thinking to myself....here we go.....

So he drank it....

GUESS WHAT

BAM!!! Ohe hour later he is "OVER the kitchen sink"....

I'll leave out the details....

I said....

MR. I GOT THIS Smiley Happy

Learned his lesson!!!

When in DOUBT....THROW IT OUT!!!

@sidsmom, actually they're $1.00 here.  LOL

Your post made me laugh.  I'd toss them too.  I'm not eating food 2 months past the date.  A couple of bucks isn't worth it to me.
