Seems the queen does not have influence over prince Phillip, she has not stopped him, from driving.

Don't care who this man is. If he were my father or my husband keys would be gone ASAP. He will be 98 in June. He can drive all over his private estates but he needs to stay off public roads. His need to feel independent does not superceed the right for public safety. If I live to this ripe old age I hope someone in my family has the good sense to stop me from driving.

The Queen still drives and doesn't wear a seat belt either. I don't think seat belts should be mandatory for adults just as helmets are no longer mandatory for riding motorcycles. Maybe Philip has a medical exemption.

"The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh would like to be remembered to you."  That's a crazy note to make.  Emma must remember them every time she realizes her arm is in a sling.  I thought the Royals were less tone-deaf.

@proudlyfromNJ I didn't know that, thank you. I did know you can't pump your gas yourself in NJ.

helmets are mandatory in maryland.

Currently, 19 states and the District of Columbia have laws requiring all riders (operators and passengers) to wear a helmet, known as universal helmet laws. Laws requiring only some motorcyclists to wear a helmet are in place in 28 states
