Another light rainy day  with 90 degree  and heat index over 100

Please don't worry about my walking as when i do its 30 min  or less when its hot and humid ,we don't walk very far.. and we always have a bottle of water to drink.  Also we each have our cell phones with us.

Last night when neighbor called  i told her no, not tonight.

We do know when to stay home...and if we do go  we don't push ourself on how far we should walk !

Never ever!   even if its only 2-4 blocks  or less.

Its not miles!!

Daughter stopped by yesterday  and surprised me with 6 different sandwiches  from a gas station/convience place!  I have food in my freezer  but she thought i might like something different to eat

I am very happy for you to have  a rebate back from his  broken recliner  to  a  buy new chair recliner   for yourself and also for your dh.

@geezerette : So mad. Waited so long for that Apple phone call to reset account. So today at said time: received text message : go to Apple =account recovery.🙄😯😯😯😯. So I have been setting at my table since 1:36 p.m. struggling to do everything. Still showing trouble with icloud sync and afraid to click on button.

I have added several need apps but haven't sign in to accounts.

I am having trouble trying to locate the information to: lock screen rotation and how to extend the time for the home screen to stay open. Will try to do more later. I am starving and ready to order something to eat. Ok. Rant over.

Screen Orientation Lock:

• Access Control Center: Swipe down from the top-right corner of the screen to open Control Center.
• Locate the Lock Icon: Find the rotation lock icon (a padlock with a circular arrow).
• Activate/Deactivate: Tap the icon to turn rotation lock on (it will usually turn red) or off.
• Effect: When active, the screen will stay in its current orientation, regardless of how you move the iPad. 

When you "swipe" from the top right corner of the iPad on the main screen, you have to hold your finger on the screen until you get about halfway down the screen.  The Control Center window will pop up.  It took me a while to get used to this new "swiping" method to do certain things.

To extend the time that your Home Screen stays open go to Settings>Display & Brightness>Auto-Lock, then choose the time you want it to stay open.

Dh recliner cover delivered yesterday  afternoon. So upset with my bad eyes ordered the black instead of chocolate brown.Not exact fit but better than nothing. Suppose to have two elastic straps to go around the back of the chair. First strap difficult to close. Second  strap too short. Will work on this later.

Widow friend wanted to take me out today to celebrate my birthday this week. Took all morning for me to get dressed. We went to a good restaurant that had a variety of meat. I chose the roasted chicken, fried green tomatoes and blacked eyed peas and corn bread and cold water with the nugget ice. Everything was delicious. Friend looked at the slices of cake. She suggested we go riding around town and later stop for ice cream. Me: " yes please". She drove to areas of town with new restaurants  under construction. We went to Culvers for a milk shake and shocked that they were closed , thought they were doing good. Next stop was Dairy Queen for a Blizzard. I was afraid of any thing chocolate since not home.I ordered the small strawberry cheese cake.....perfect size and totally delicious. Friend had returned  yesterday from Seattle and enjoyed her photos and adventures. Wonderful day but worn out and hurting. It was 95 while we were out and so humid.

Don't feel like doing anything else or working on the Ipad.

No rain today!!

But still was 90  and humid  grrr!

Oh,  i  am hungry for some dried fruit..

so i orded   a 2# bag comination of berries in a bag  with cherries,

cranberries  with blueberries,

also

  a bag of bananas  chips,

  bag  of blueberries ,

  bag of mangos 

and another  watch  in  a pretty blue color from same seller that i bought one  from    but in black  color last month  from Amazon today.

Next

My AT&T modum  was acting up and was resettings its self often this afternoon...so i called  and they are sending me a new  one and should have it Wednesday...since then it has been ok..duh!  not going to call  and cancel!!

He checked my area  and no problems    and my modum might be outdated he told me.
