@geezerette : Thank you. My health insurance called me back. They offer a yearly Home Visit for a nurse to come and take all information, look at medications, look at home for mobility issues and other needs. Stated the visiting nurse could probably help with any home help needs and work with my doctor.  My visit is scheduled for 6/5.

I received the information from Rebath for the shower  remodel.🙄😯.Expensive. More than what I was expecting.  We requested for the shower door to be used instead of shower curtain. The shower threshold will be reduced from 8 inches to 3 1\2 inches.

I am still trying to purge the den and a few more things before deciding on the house cleaning service.

I will call my cable company tomorrow to change that service and reduce that bill.

I was on the phone most of the day yesterday getting information for any help and changes.

I didn't get much done today because a friend was suppose to come and bring me lunch but never came. DH went to Wendy's and got me a plain baked potato with one butter and sour cream and a small hamburger. Water still doesn't taste good but trying to consume more. My snack was a banana. So my food consumption has decreased. But worried about losing weight with eating fast food. I am doing the best that I can .

@SouthernBee,  I'm glad to hear about the home visit!  This could be the turning point to consolidate all of the concerns into a plan that will address each one of them individually, and all of them as a whole, too.

I was wondering if you had contacted anyone with your state's department of human services, aging and disabilities assistance, or some of the organizations (such as the Visiting Angels) who offer such things as light housekeeping.

You are such a force of nature...  I know it must seem like a "whack-a-mole" environment when you resolve one thing and another pops up, but one-by-one you're getting things done.

Wish I were there to be a help.  I hope you can feel the love and support of everyone here, and of course your friends in the community, too.❤️

My condolences. ☹️

I just got back from my mailbox where I put in two sympathy cards for mailing today.  One was for a friend who's husband died this past weekend at 47.

It seems like so many people I know are leaving this earth lately.  It's getting to seem like I have fewer and fewer friends and even acquaintances that I have a past with.  No wonder old people get depressed.

I hope your medication works so you feel better.  I hope your daughter feels better soon too.🤞

Your temperature sounds wonderful, but not the humidity!  It's getting hot here but at least today the humidity is fairly low which makes it more tolerable.  Rain Friday.

Lubs ya.❤️

Oh, my.  So young.  @geezerette,  I'm sorry you've experienced these dear souls passing, slipping away from this earth.  I think they were lucky to share life with you.  You carry forward their stories and their light in the way you move through the world and the lives you touch, the hearts you inspire and encourage (including mine, and so many others here).❤️

@PamfromCT   I was absolutely thrilled to see a post from you over the weekend. There was a thread recently about MIA posters. One of your friends speculated about why you hadn't posted; it was a thought she should have kept to herself. Wisely the Mods deleted the entire thread.

And greetings to our friend, @PamfromCT!

So many of us have missed you, Pam!  As Tique tactfully alluded to, those threads just don't go well, but often we've asked about you and continued to pray that all was well with you.

I remember how much  ⭐️Preds loved you and the way you opened your heart on the forums...

Welcome back, friend.❤️

@dooBdoo : Thank you. I love and appreciate you. I am really having trouble walking using my walker. The epidural isn't until 6/7. I am staying positive but thinking about the future.I called Rebath  back and requested information and price for the threshold to be changed to what they call , wheelchair access. Then would need to use rod and shower curtain. DH doesn't like this but changes are expensive and just need to have everything done. No one never knows how fast the health can change. I was blessed to live this long without more handicapped accessories. I will be 70 in July. I already have handicap ramp on front porch at the front door and done in cement to blend in with the porch. We basically live in the den. We had the couch removed for more room. DH and I both sleep in recliners. The door to the den was made wider several years ago. I will be asking my contractor for an estimate to change the door to the hall bathroom. The kitchen and family room are easy access.🤗❤🙏

@dooBdoo,  Thank you, my sweetness.  Kind of a stressful year for me re health issues.  Nothing that killed me!  But one after another.  I am now fine.

I do appreciate care and concern.  And I will come back later to send other messages.  Yes, it is so very sad when people we love leave this earth.  And sometimes without warning, and sometimes so young.  Grief is so crushing to deal with.

It is a gift to live a long life, but how it hurts to lose those we love.

All my best to everyone here.  My GC continue to be the light of my life.  They are such good young people.  Kids like them give me hope for the future of all.  We can sometimes forget the good people among us, when the worst make the news.

Wishing blessings to all here.

Pam

@dooBdoo, I forgot to mention that I still remember Preds.  I remember the crushing moment when she said she knew she would never get to ring that bell, that her cancer would never be cured.  Like a knife to the heart, I will always remember.  She was so brave.  Someone I never met, yet such a terrible loss that she is gone from the earth.  I do believe, however, that we will all be together again.  Love to all here.

@dooBdoo

Thank you so much for replying to us..i makes me smile that you are here with us    and ...when your not i worry about you!🤗

I felt you were speaking to  my daughter  and myself  about my daughters mental health problems.Heart

She called me earlier this afternoon...telling me that she  and a customer were talking while working  at her check out position at the grocery store she works at (Not a Walmart store)

Next thing she knew her bully co-worker butted into the private conversation.

The customer was clearly upset over the invasion of their conversation  and later let my daughter know that she had filed a complaint with the storesHQ  over this worker!

Daughter  while telling me this was clearly distressed...she told me she loved me but right now she doesn't want to leave her town to drive the 12 miles to my town.

I told her i understood !

Deep down  i feel  that whilre she was visiting with her friend and family...its probably easier to be with her friend today.

I don't think i need to say more.😪😥We always end conversation  with i love you's  and i send her big hugs.

My heart and soul wishes i could make everything right for her, etc.  and YOU!Heart

Thank you  my friend🤗

lubs you!Heart
