@MyShadowLove  Thank you very much. I hope the rain keeps me productive today with cleaning this apartment and catching up with laundry.

I've been living like a pig since that bathroom renovation and haven't had the time to reorganize like I want and need to.

Believe it or not, the bathroom still needs a few little tweaks here and there; including a gap in the tile by the sink plumbing that they put a piece of silver tape on for the time being! Imagine that.  Also the door jam and my bathroom door needs to be replaced after they removed it, and it won't close now!

@KBEANS ...Oh that's right!...I remember now that you were having a total bathroom renovation....If I remember correctly, you live in an apartment complex in NYC where there is always a soap opera going on with other tenants in the laundry room!...lol

I'm so sorry with all that you are going through due to some of the sloppy work that Maintenance is doing...Are they involved in the total renovation?...Are you able to use your bathroom at all yet?

You definitely should not be charged for the new bathroom door!...Would it help to talk to the Management of your apartment complex about the problems you are encountering with Maintenance...Of course, they are the ones that provide the supposed Maintenance care so I'm not sure how much that would help...Did you try reporting to them about the sloppy work and have them come up to see for themselves?...Get some of those women from the laundry room to go with you...maybe that will get some results...lol

(Just trying to add a little humor...not really a bad idea though?)

@geezerette : Totally understand. My Walmart order just delivered. The container of peppermint candy, the container will fit on my laundry cart without using the top and that will be ok. Still a sturdy container and good price.😀😀

@SouthernBee  I am burning my Harry Slatkin Pumpkin Candle and the scent is relaxing me as I sit here sipping tea!

I will do a little at a time in this place if I feel up to it. If not, it will wait and I will keep breathing in the lovely scent and sip my Apple cider tea.

I have chatted with so many beautiful people here that I may have never engaged with otherwise!

The spirit of Preds lives here and I'm sorry I didn't have the pleasure to chat with her, but I'm glad to be part of her legacy here. 

Thanks to @Tique and @cowboy sam for speaking about her on the GH thread so I was familiar with her story before I got here.

BTW are Interlopers in laws on this thread? 😝 I was told already but I forgot and couldn't find the post about it. I remember Pancakers though. 😝

@MyShadowLove  Yes, they are in charge of the entire renovation. If you do your own, they will never, ever service you and you have to get an outside plumber if you should encounter any problems...which we are always encountering problems!  That's what led to the renovations!

interlopers are @loveschocolate in laws

they come to her beautiful lakehouse and stay for an unspeciifc amount of time

it is really loves fault

she refuses to built a moat around her home

she insists on giving them a beautiful bedroom with soft linens and wouldnt take my suggestion of burlap linens - it exfoliates as you sleep

she feeds them delish fudz - who would want to leave paradise?

i dont fault them in the least

under 5 lbs and always gives kisses and his name is BACI

has a thin white stripe down the center of his back like a skunk - so cute -

As I get older and everything gets harder for me to do, I've been contemplating an apartment when I'm able to downsize.  

But after reading about your remodeling, I'm not so sure that would alleviate any problems--in fact, it may cause more!

I hope they get completely finished soon to your satisfaction, and that you don't get charged for their mistakes!😠

Such an adorable, precious, gentle and fragile little furry blessing....He must be of Italian heritage...BACI (Kiss) is the most "purrrrfect" name for him.
