@Yahooey : I added a cup of grape jelly to the meatballs and DH said : Yuk!
I was so embarrassed. I read the email wrong and arrived 1 1\2 hour early. We live 15 minutes away and they insisted we stay and not go back home.
They had a counter top ice maker that makes the nugget ice cubes. Hostess stated very easy to clean and no issues with mold.
The menu included pot stickers(?), vegetable egg rolls, shredded bbq sliders, corn poppers that looked small round corn bread, rice.
One of the ladies loved my insulated crockpot carrier and said she would order one( I offered to order it for her but she said no). We had fun but I am worn out. My kitchen is a mess but waiting jungle tomorrow to clean.
I really liked the little bamboo forks.
Guess who couldn't stop eating the meatballs?!!😀😀

awww.... it all sounds delish
why the grape jelly? I understand it will be for sweetness but why not sugar or honey
yay on having fun with peeps - it has been a lot with the construction etc
i totally understand about cleaning
after full cooking - the floor is always a horror scene
i dont have a dish waher or many things so i am washing the same big bowl etc
i try to clean as i go with prep stuff but there is ALWAYS more to clean

rain today and tomorrow
gues i'm going to be knitting
i picked up a scarf that was started
it looks like several people knitted it as it was wider on the bottom
then had a few rows of a different stitches
and then the garter stitch which i continued
for those that dont knit - garter is knit stitch
every row is a knit stitch - since this is community knitting and beginner knitting
you dont have to purl - you knit knit knit
and when finished - it gets collected and donated next valentine's day
i always start a scarf or pick one that looks sorta okay
of course - the wide bottom and the wrong stitches made me crazy
i am continuing to finish knitting off the remaining yarn
i am ripping apart the bottom - when it gets too tangled bc it is long
i cut it and add the yarn to the top
removing bottom of scarf and adding to the top - makes sense?
i will then bind off the top and bottom when done
except the scarf is kina short - the person that started it made a wider scarf
it doesnt have enough yarn to wrap around your neck properly
you can do an X in the front and it will cover your chest
i can stich the ends together to make a cowl - but the cowl will hang and cant wrap around your neck twice - it is that in between size
i can add a different yarn when i go on wednesday (last day)
take some yarn home & knit a patch on both ends to let it hang around neck longer
knit a batch and stitch together so it can wrap around your neck twice
i will not have enough time to finish (2 hr session) either version
i will have to bring home and then return it to the store that sponsors it
dinking dinking dinking....
or let it go as is when i'm done

@Yahooey : The meatball recipe on line several used the heinze chili sauce and grape jelly and I really don't like it. I thought using the sweet baby rays hickory and brown sugar recipe would be good but it needed something else. I put a small amount in a separate small bowl and I added the sweet baby rays honey mustard sauce and just ok. I didn't know what else to use. The frozen meatballs were a combination of beef and pork. The last choice was the grape jelly.
I didn' finish getting my kitchen cleaned from top to bottom until Thursday from the construction mess. Then Friday morning baking the brownies. Started around 1 p.m on the meat balls. By the time that I got dressed and packing everything up - just worn out. My body was so sore from all the extra cleaning but had already promised to go.Then the embarrassment of arriving too early. I was so relieved to return home.I took some pain meds but didn't help. I had planned to sleep late but very restless. Only thing today- clean the kitchen. We have enough meatballs to eat for Sunday. I will make cole slaw from a pre made mix, canned bake beans and corn on the cob. Dh going out for lunch and will bring me something back. Sorry for the rambling.

Good Morning Friends,
🌧️ ☔️ What a dreary day! I'll probably stay in and sort through some things for next weekends flea market.
They gave us a September rain date. In May, it was a wash out. That being said; I made a pretty good profit selling some housewares, jewlery and clothing, that I no longer needed.
I love the flea market around here and have participated only the last 3 years. I always just passed. Now my DIL and I, as well as the guys look forward to it.
We put the doggie's in the stroller, and they help move the merchandise. 😝
My brother is doing well. They are keeping a close watch on him so they don't miss anything should something pop up.
@geezerette Trying to relax as you suggested. It's always been out of my hands, and in the BIG GUY'S but you still worry.
@cowboy sam I like the switching handbags idea! Wish we were neighbors. Between the 2 of us we probably wouldn't have to ever use the same bag twice. 😝
@SouthernBee My son made chicken meatballs and used the grape jelly. Wasn't crazy for it. I think it's a fad among the young crowd. I do like chicken sausage though. 🤤
Give me good old Italian style beef, or beef mixed with the veal and pork meatballs with red sauce. That's my liking!

Trust me, your life is much more exciting than mine! 😉😄
