No,i didn't   go ......as i felt it was a bit 2 late  for me to be asked the 1  day before the niece's" retirement party"!...

after being around her for close to 2 weeks....she had pleanty of time to ask me  as she mentioned going to it in hushed comments  to 2 other sisters and her neighbor /   just about everytime we were together like it was a secret from me.

Yes,i'm enjoying my time home vacation without pancake trying to give me advice on something she knew nothing about me or my life!

dear preds and friends

Nothing exciting going on in my "quiet" house by myself    

Thunder woke me up sometime overnight.don't remember if it rained...but ground wasn't wet !

Before noon i decided to go for a walk while it was only 84 degrees...i un walked 5 blocks and was back home again.

Phone just rang...going for a walk w/neighbor

one more thing about that retirement party..

in a very small resturant

and  the menu was chicken&speggethie...

each person would get a bill for it..close to  $20.00 "plus" whatever you order from bar  to drink...and cash only i was told....it was like...hmmm i don't eat speggetti out...i don't know if a salad bar was included..

When you get asked 1 day before a party..its like  your a after thought..like maybe  hope she won't go....pancakes thought i bet!

@cowboy sam ...Sure, only you know what is the best way to handle the situation with "pancake sis",...What is important is that you do what is comfortable for you...It sounds like she gets along with your other two sisters and you are the "chosen one" for whatever her issues or insecurities are...It also sounds like you have a good relationship with your other two sisters and they are obviously aware of the situation with "pancake sis"...The best thing to do is enjoy your time with them and the rest of the family and not allow "pancake sis" to take away  from that....just enjoy and ignore any negativity from her...just smile..."pancakes" hate that! 😁  lol

Maybe, when your two sisters return, you could arrange for just the three of you to get together so that you could have your own alone time with them away from "pancake sis".

How refreshing that would be for all of you!  😊

Good morning, it's a hazy humid morning and it may rain and it may not. Stop the presses!!!!! I broke out the ironing board and iron! I washed the kitchen and bedroom curtains and just finished ironing them, I can't remember the last time that I used the iron.
