snakes are a whole other thing - @SouthernBee 

i jumped when i saw a garter snake (?) they were bright green and the Floridians laughed when i yelped in the parking lot 

and those are itty bitty

how's the pet training coming along @Bri369

Glad you're hanging in.  Did they give you an idea of when they expect to move your mom?  Is your niece still staying with you?

Good Morning Preds and Friends!

mom has a pain patch since wed morning and i havent given her morphine since tuesday- think the morphine was too aggressive for her - idk really

she was throwing up and not eating then

now she drinks a little ensure and water throughout the day

when i wake her up

if the paperwork is not approved - then there is the weekend and we wait some more

brother is coming before work and helping me do stuff for mom

then he comes back at night to do stuff - i cant lift her

i did it sunday and monday but she was better then and can assist and wasn't in as much pain - everyday is a new but not better story - now we need a team bc waiting for 1 person or 2 people to do stuff take longer - 3 pairs of hands to swoop in and do stuff simultaneously is better 

i had the best time with my younger niece (mid 20s) yesterday

we gabbed and laugh - she was the one i took to the knitting igloo

the sweetie pie says on sunday if grandma has not moved into the facility

she will come with dog and clothes and stay a few days and help

she says we are very similar in personality and we have the same wonky sense of humor 

i'm alone today but mom only needs extra hands when we do the stuff

i check from time to time and she is sleeping to keep her full and hydrated

but since brother and me have gotten into the new routine- it is not as scary

but i know this will not remain as is and new situations will arise

it is still difficult but with the love and support shown to me the last few days

i can breathe a little

I wish I could give you a million hugs.  I keep saying this, but I'm so glad your niece is there for you. 

There's so many unknowns when you're caring for someone like that.  You don't want to hurt them and it's hard to lift them.  Are you giving them enough or too much of something.  You're constantly on pins and needles.

It seems like your mom is comfortable and that's the most important thing.

the paperwork was approved and waiting for someone to come here for a covid test

We'll hold your hand in spirit and cry with you.  It's a journey that is very sad.   😢🙏🏼😢🙏🏼😢
