I want to take this opportunity to wish all the  Preds friends a very Merry Christmas! 🙏🎄

I just sat down after making 36 meatballs for no other reason than my husband and I were in the mood for them. I'll have them for the holiday week, so when friends come by  this week, I can serve a quick baked ziti with meatballs.

I'll make the ziti on the 26. I'm off from work unti Jan. 5 and I like cooking when I'm off. Hate to cook when I work. Hubby has been helping with that, thankfully.

Tomorrow we are having bacon wrapped filet mignon and my DIL is making some of her fantastic sides.

Last year I messed up a prime rib for the second time and I vowed never to make another! 

Prosciutto wrapped asparagus, Pea salad, stuffed mushrooms and she's baking something special...I think it will be a Carrot Cake that looks and tastes like it should be on the cover of a Foodie magazine!

I'm glad to be with our family over the holidays. My mom (90)  went to Virginia to celebrate with my brother and his family this year, so she'll be missed here. But so glad she gets the opportunity to be somewhere else where she's loved.

Best to all that post on this thread and I'm sorry I dropped from here much of the year. I explained why earlier on the thread.

Hoping, praying and wishing 2026 will be a Healthy, Happy and Serene New Year for all of us that post here.

I hoped you had a fabulous holiday...

We had a very small gathering of 7 at my niece's place

My sister and husband (niece's parents) opted not to come... but u guys know all about the original pancake. It is a shame - we are a very small family and they choose not to join - we never have gatheriings except for Christmas - bc there is always someone not able to join.

We had laughs and very good fudz

It is always the same meal and we look forward to it every year - everyone had a second plate and leftovers to take home to enjoy! Lobster spaghetti and baked clams and cheesy bread. Dessert was devil's food cake w/peanut butter frosting (not very sweet)

Looks like kind of a tropical Christmas meal.  I bet it was delicious!
