@Yahooey  We had ham, kolbassi, potato salad, sweet potatoes, roasted asparagus, deviled eggs, paska, Easter cheese and homemade horseradish. For dessert we had cheesecake. Paska is a sweet bread with raisins. Easter cheese is almost more like custard. They are both what my Slovak side of the family had for Easter. The Easter cheese I make, the paska comes from Giant Eagle bakery. LOL❤️ My husband makes the horseradish.

So what does everyone have planned for today!

p.s...I miss my family!...Waah!

@MyShadowLove

No special dinner and no gatherings for me--I miss my fam, too! However, it's been a great day. I got some chores done to get ready for roofers to come tear off my roof tomorrow. And I had a virtual "brunch" with my dear daughter. Not a lot of brunching but LOTS of running our mouths! Then I had a facetime with my beloved sister, whose family has been battling with serious Covid with complication, but seem to be slowly on the mend now. Two still in hospital, though none currently in ICU. (Nope, it's NOT time to ease up yet.) And there were other good things today as well. Plus reading about all of you! Life is GOOD.

Hi @KaySD ...I love your optimistic attitude and your Easter day sounds absolutely wonderful...We all just have to do the best that we can and be there for each other through this very trying time...Love and support from family and friends most definitely is a blessing!...Please know that I'm sending a prayer and lots of positive thoughts for your sister and her family.

And, yes, I agree wholeheartedly...."Life is GOOD" and so very precious...even when you have a noisey project like new roofing going on!...lol

Take good care! Heart

@Yahooey  OMG! When my husband was grinding up the horseradish root we had the front and back door propped open, the kitchen windows open and the fan on over the stove. I was in the living room with tears running down my face. Had to go upstairs with my book for awhile. It does open up your sinuses though. LOL

To everyone who posted such kind and uplifting words for me about my family, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. If I start listing names, I fear I will miss someone--but you know who you are, and I know how much I appreciate it.

I still have two in the hospital, but they are not getting worse, and those at home are recovering. So far, so good.

Of course I long to be there, but if I were I couldn't see them, so for me it's an exercise in patience and holding them all in my imagination as well and thriving.

Love to all

Smiley Happy

     Hello dear doobdoo Woman Happy and a Heart for everyone.

     I was scrolling through beginning around Good Friday, hoping to find Pam ~when I saw your lovely message for Easter expressing so much meaning in today's world.

  I have missed you, along with many others from time to time since I'm not here as frequently.

   Heart Sending my sincere blessings for your health while embracing my fortunate timing, now, that I had seen you here.

 Pam had told me over three weeks ago that's she often here at Preds' home with her friends ...."and can view many.... that I have  known".

 Not as many posters here from the many times I actually was not an almost visitor. Thank you for reading.

  We had a very wonderful aster gathering, having our son come in. I went all out ( well not totally) for a main dinner menu. Something for me knowing I am the top chef that loves to cook.

   And, you know BETTER than that- if you know nothing else - [about me].

    Sashay turned her nose up at our Easter dinner

   ` ( I think) with ham.

 Hoping that Pam may be on for Tuesday. Maybe I can return after this week end, if not sooner.

  I have to be my husband for a short hospital stay...out of the blue,

        for an in hospital surgery back procedure that came on suddenly last month. 9 weeks ago.

The slightest of any symptoms were there for two months, then progressed that quickly.

 He's never been hospitalized, nor ill, except the situation in 2011 and an infection in 2013.  I had told Pam (Heart) that when I am not here, then please know something has gone unexpectedly surprising.

 Greetings to everyone with a smile staying being safe and well.  Our son was our Easter BLESSING~

 NAES

 4.5. 21

   I am doing a lot with a group finding homes for all lost pet, abandoned, not wanted, or ill from a location area I had read about recently.

 I'll pass this on to @beastielove, also.

    ~~~ Cat Happy I have wanted to send her a long Thank You from her last post, so now she knows why. Hello @PamfromCT  with much love, always.
