Re: Praying for India

[ Edited ]

Let's remember that the vaccines that are offered in India are not Pfizer and Moderna, but the Russian and AstraZeneca vaccines.  Many people do not want to be vaccinated because they fear the side effects.

@colleena , I appreciate your insight. I was reeling at the sight of funeral pyres in India. After some study, I have settled down a little bit from learning some of the customs there.

My SIL used to travel to several cities in India on business. He said it is overwhelming to see the sheer number of people who are crowded into every square inch of so many cities. I know someone who is from Punjab. She is a dear, sweet, soul. She misses her homeland, but has been afraid to go back for quite a while. She now probably will never be able to return. Prayers for all of those suffering in India as we speak. I hope all available medical help is sent ASAP.

I too was very upset when I saw a photo of a hundred funeral pyres all lined up and blazing. Not for the faint of heart, even though it is part of their religious practices.
