I think the concern is not about vaccines but instead that the supply of pharmaceuticals we get and rely on from India will be impacted. Meaning the supply may not be there for us due to this current crisis.

So the fear is that we won't get drugs that usually come from India? @persiflage. Unless they are related to Covid treatment, I don't see why that would occur.
Most important is that the world pitches in and helps this disaster in India. Somehow I think that we will not suffer from this.

It is an awful situation in India. Most people are very poor and can only afford what is needed to survive. They are packed in like sardines! Situations like that lead to the spread of illness. It seems to have come on suddenly over the last few weeks.
I watch Dr. John Campbell sometimes on Youtube and found his comments about the situation in India interesting. According to him, most Indians have a very low vitamin D level. They don't sunbathe, eat foods that have vitamin D or take supplements.

I imagine it could occur if production was impacted by plant shut downs, illness and death of those who work in the industry/supply chain. I have no idea if it will be problematic or not.
@suzyQ3 This is not expressing anything negative toward India, was only offering my take on prior posts. I support helping around the world.

@suzyQ3 @They manufacture 30-40 percent of our generic drugs. With so many people sick there it could easily affect the manufacturing of our meds. They also make the most generics worldwide. This could lead to some serious shortages.

@SandySparkles , I have read enough of your posts to know you are a genuine good heart.
If I may respectfully disagree, we human beings are given the gift of being judgmental. I believe it is instrumental in giving us a moral compass.

You are going to take a good spanking on here, from stating this view. But I have to agree with you, and I have said those exact words many times in my adult life. I feel it is critical in setting our moral compass, which then leads our actions and words, and guides us to be better and do better based on those things we observe and pass judgement upon.
Judgment doesn't mean to condemn, or to not help, or to not forgive. In fact, if we don't make a judgment, we cannot do those good things (help/forgive).
In today's feel good society, judgment has been given a bad rap. It's an essential part of life, and can be positive and lead to positive outcomes. Not all judgment is negative. I judge people's good words, deeds, choices, and become inspired just as much as I judge the negative/poor. And I use my judgment of the poor/negative to guide myself to do the opposite.

@FLgardener Opposing views are healthy, and I always welcome them; as I do yours.🥰

We have neighbors who every year have gone to India to visit family & attend religious events and are gone a month or longer. This year their oldest daughter is also going through a matchmaker like experience to find her a husband. The youngest daughter still here facetimes with the family daily and tells us it is not the usual atmosphere over there - very scary, unknown & unsure. They are very hard workers, have multiple businesses locally and are good neighbors.
