Track Palin has been arrested for domestic violence for the second time in a year.  This time, his victim was his own father Todd, who confronted Track with a pistol. According to the story Track was told not to go to the Palin household as he had been drinking and taking prescription medication. When Todd pulled a pistol on his son, Track broke through a window and beat his father.

I think this young man may have PTSD from his tours of duty and he's using alcohol and drugs to numb the emotional pain.

I hope Track gets the help he so desperately needs before he or someone else ends up dead.

He was in trouble way before he ever went on a tour of duty, unless you can get PTSD just contemplating active duty.

How many similar stories have we read about all over the country where people have called  the police on their intoxicated, high or mentally ill family members and wind up being shot dead? Too many to count and the justification for doing so is also endless!

Not that I am defending anything that family has done to call negative attention to themselves, but Track seems to have an alcohol problem. This is not unusual in Alaska. According to reports I have read, Alaska is one of the top 5 states in the union with very high alcoholism rates. I don't know whether it's the high cost of living and the job rates. I don't know if it's lack of social services. I really don't know why that is. But it is high. Perhaps Track is just another statistic.
