The father didn’t “pull” a gun. He met his son at the door with a gun.If you say so.
Oh here I thought he answered the door with a gun.
It wasn't a gun, it was a pistol. pfffft ![]()

Nope
If “we” are not, there certainly are a lot of “us” who love to judge those who judge, and who proudly consider themselves morally superior for doing so, and for chastising those who don’t measure up to their superior morality.
Meh.
********* All these families, no matter who they are ...are suffering greatly. I am sure there is not one person here who hasn't judged another. We all have at one time or another. The older I get the more I am realizing, it does more good to pray for people than it does to talk about them ....especially when one of their children is suffering. It makes me deeply sorry for every time I have set in harsh judgement on someone. It makes me want to do better and ask God to give me more control over my tongue. I don't consider that being morally superior.

Average minds discuss events;
Small minds discuss people.

Regardless of my feelings for this family, I can only imagine the pain for them. We love our children but do not always like them. Most mothers would walk through hell for them. Clearly this boy has been troubled for many years. Years of "bailing him out" have only caused more pain.
How awful for the Palins.

Ideas? You mean like the idea that if you are part of a certain socio-economic class you get to act like a giant self-righteous hyprocrite all the while demanding privacy and empathy when acting like a low-class common criminal? Anyone else, whether a public or private figure, would've been flamed for this behavior. They should thank their lucky stars their son wasn't shot and killed for challenging and disobeying the police as many others have been. This family is the true embodiment of privilege and entitlement.

The question was simple who do YOU want to be. Not judging, it is a rhetorical question

I’d like to be a person in an open discussion of ideas about what it means that some people with no previous record are shot for resisting arrest and others are not? Why it’t OK to disrespect some people, while others are untouchable? Why are victims so often blamed? How can we change this? Do we want to?
But you know perfectly well this is not the place.

There was a report last night that Track was in jail. Wrong place imo, he should have had an immediate referral to a psychiatrist for evaluation.
Begging his father to shoot him and them beating his father, causing head wounds, is a clear case of someone eligible for a 72 hour hold for evaluation. He shows signs of being a danger to himself and another. That's all that's needed.

Not the first time that this guy has been in trouble. Only one of many. One of the reasons he volunteered to go to the Mid East was to avoid some legal problems at home. It's quite the family.
