Loved Perry Como - I was a young girl when he had his shows on tv.  My goals at that time were to be a dancer on the Perry Como show or a cowgirl - even had a complete cow girl outfit and a Hopalong Cassidy pearl handled revolver.  Neither dream came true of course and it turns out I'm afraid of horses - even though they are beautiful.  My other plan was to marry Ricky Nelson and that didn't pan out either.  Anyhow, saw the Perry Como thing on PBS and loved it - was surprised how many words I knew to his songs.

@mrsgoofy......you have a great sense of humor......  Love that.  Dreams are so important even if they don't come true.  Never give up dreaming.....I don't.

Love and miss those old variety shows. Great entertainment, no political B.S. with family friendly humor.

Love Perry Como.  I remember as a child, watching his show with my parents.  Also loved his Christmas specials.  Such a beautiful voice.  It's sad, but in today's world, those type of shows would be laughed off the air.

For me, it just wouldn’t be Christmas without hearing Perry, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis,

and others. 🙂

Love PBS.I always thought that people should pay for regular t.v. with some of the stuff they have on and PBS should be free [not have to ask for contributions]

I was lucky enough to have been born in time to enjoy the big bands, Frank, P. Como, Nat King Cole, j.Mathis, Bing, Dean, etc.  But you don't have to be old to appreciate class and quality. And REAL melodious music.

@Perkup....I was too....  Just love to watch some of those oldies......  They just don't make then like that any more.  And I (my opinion) feel that is a shame.  The bands of today just don't have it for us oldsters.
