I just read you can watch the trial on ESPN3 or WatchESPN if you have those channels. Who woulda thunk? But it makes sense, I guess.

I'm not sure if I get those channels or not. I don't watch much sports !

Just because he sounds distraught does not mean he didn't do this intentionally. We've all read accounts of where a murderer has become distraught after they've killed. They are placed on suicide watch in prison. Pistorious should go to prison for a long time. I hope he's convicted.

They will point out that most men would try to locate their girlfriend to insure she is safe. They will ask him why he didn't check when he was getting his gun from the bed. Also wouldn't a reasonable person call the police and keep the gun available before opening fire. I think he knew exactly where Reeva was and committed a crime of passion that he now regrets.

I am not taking up for him, I have no idea of what happened, but it makes sense to me that one could wake up and in a panic grab a gun, and not think about someone who sometimes is in the bed and sometimes not,.......... the shooting through a closed door, I am not sure what the defense to that is, I would think most would have a phone in one hand calling the police, but I have no idea what he was thinking.

I know, right? His crying seemed so genuine and heartfelt. I keep telling myself that he is probably sorry about it "now", but that I believe it was intentional back at the time it happened. So sad, such a beautiful woman, and they were a beautiful couple.

Has anyone been listening to his testimony? I'm so conflicted on this case after hearing him speak. He seems so sincere and distraught- I can't imagine him shooting his girlfriend on purpose.

I am unmoved by his crying and carrying on. I'd be distraught too, if I thought I was facing life in prison.

Read about the evidence; he's as guilty as sin.

The prosecutor was unrelenting today. There are some interesting aspects to SA's judicial system. OP will be on the witness stand again tomorrow. As long as he is being cross-examined, he is allowed NO contact (even outside court) with his lawyer. He is on his own while he testifies.

Interesting! So, the prosecution can keep him on the stand for the next 2 weeks, if they are so inclined. {#emotions_dlg.scared}

Oh so he is being crossed today. Court was just starting for today when I went to bed last night but I think he was still on direct. A reporter there said the judge will not be giving him the long adjurnments anymore, he may get 10 minutes to compose himself and that is it. I was wondering why she was cutting court short anyway.

I learned Reeva had also taken the bathroom key in the bathroom with her, that is why he couldnt find it and beat the door down after he shot 5 times. She took the key, her phone and locked the door, sounds like she was scared of him to me.

I was watching the news and the commentator said the prosecution is going to try to "trip" him up!{#emotions_dlg.scared}

Ugh,What an "interesting" choice of words.

I can barely listen to news about this trial because they keep talking about Oscar throwing up.

If I were in that court room I would have to leave!

Me too. That would lend itself to the theory that they were in fact arguing before she was shot and that she was afraid of him. If she just happened to get up in the middle of the night for a nature break, she wouldn't have needed to lock the bathroom door behind her and bring her phone. It looks like she was fleeing to the bathroom for safety.
