Most of us would assume we would know the person next to us in bed, wasn't in the bed. However, she didn't live there, so it's not like he has someone next to him night after night. Could he have been woken by the noise and just went into terror mode? Or been in that state of confusion you sometimes feel when you're woken up suddenly?

I am also looking forward to the cross examination.

That is possible, I do not know either if he is guilty, but I do think his childhood would have caused him to be more fearful than normal, and maybe react different.

Don't forget the testimony of the neighbors regarding hearing fighting earlier between oscar and reeva.

I dont understand why this judge keeps breaking for the day when Oscar gets upset, 2 days on the stand and she has done it both days. Give the guy time to compose himself and continue on. Seems she is handling him with kid gloves. {#emotions_dlg.mad}

Other than his parents divorcing, what happened in his childhood that would cause him to be fearful? He comes from a very old and prominent South African family. I read that his family is very well off although he sometimes speaks as if he had been poor but that's because some of his extended family has extreme wealth.

Just listening to his winey, crybaby testimony makes me want to give him the chair.... He sounds likes woman.

I'm sorry, but I sure wish this could have stayed on the original topic and perhaps start another thread to discuss the CA situation. Sorry.

Excuse me for responding to the other poster!

Unfortunately, he's only going to get "life" if he gets convicted.

Oscar reminds me of Scott Peterson. Narcissist all the way. I remember Scott testifying and fake crying and blubbering just like Oscar. You could tell Scott was acting, because there wasn't a tear in his eyes and his face didn't even turn red. Really bad performance, IMO.

Has anyone been listening to his testimony? I'm so conflicted on this case after hearing him speak. He seems so sincere and distraught- I can't imagine him shooting his girlfriend on purpose.

Bathina, yes, I've been hearing bits and pieces of it. I am like you, very conflicted. I would have hoped that such an inspirational athlete wouldn't murder someone, but this isn't the first time this has happened (re: OJ)

I am conflicted because he did have to overcome his disability and yet if he did murder his girlfriend, what a waste.
