I live in rural Southern MD, and I think that is why I like "the area" so much.
It's a slower pace this far out of the city.
And, I don't have to commute anymore. That trip was a grind....got to be almost 2 hours both ways every day!
Glad that is behind me.

Wonder if it will ever spill over to November?
@sidsmom it did one year - in 2009 with the Yankees & Phillies.
My birthday is November 4 and I spent the evening waching the World Series on big screen at a local pub. Neither is my team (The Mets), but I was so excited to finally have baseball on my birthday !!
Whoa! Learned something new today!
I kinda sorta remember seeing a game where it was...snowing?

Yes, I watched now and then, because one of my relatives is an umpire!
I was neutral for either team to win, but it was fun to see the high quality competition.

And don't forget after 9/11 - when all sports were cancelled for awhile. Yankees and Arizona in world series. Derek Jeter hit a homerun at 12:01a on 11/1. He became Mr. November.
Can you tell I'm a Yankee fan??

What an evenly-matched World Series. Congrats to the Nats. It's a joy to win a World Series. Job well done - both Nats & Astros.

We Texas Rangers fans wouldn't know.
Came close once; just needed one more out but Nelson Cruz let a easy catch fly ball go right over his head in right field. So, we still wait for our first WS win.
I'm always an American league girl but not this year. I'm thrilled for the Nats.

@sidsmom I don't know about then- but I've gone to baseball games with snow coming down! It can still be cold up north in April when the season starts. (& yes, my family thinks I'm nuts!!
