@gertrudecloset   Good morning. Although CS approved the new account, it included a new password for my QVC account, as well. Then she said to sign in to Forums w/ a new nickname, too. 

I did not want to change the nic or have a new password to the account and told her to change it back to my name, my password (to order) and my old nic for the Forums or just to delete the account and I won't be ordering anymore. Within 10 minutes or so, she had talked to someone else there, got approval and straightened out the entire mess. I was angry and she could tell I was ready to cancel and not be a customer anymore. 

I never signed on to the Forums w/ the new nic, I didn't have to. That's why there's no thread w/ any other nic. I'm still @Shanus.  Some people had to change nicknames to be able to sign in and others did not. I was insistent.

@Shanushow wonderful for you that the powers that be "fixed" everything for you.  They don't appear to be so willing to do it for others who have had to change their name.  Hmmmm.....

I haven't been able to sign in since July 1. For some reason, today I was able to sign in, although it did take me to my account page to do so. Don't know if it was the password change I did yesterday and putting in the wrong password first or what. No change of my nick. Thank goodness for that!

When I first registered for these boards in the year dot, I chose my first name. Then I was told to change my log-in name so I added the name of my favorite restaurant in the world, named for a famous French gardener to the king. After all the problems we had signing in, once I succeeded I found that somewhere in cyberspace my original sign-in name returned. I had nothing to do with any of it.
