No new nickname here. All I did was reset my password and then after that I was able to sign-in on this forum.

I haven't had to come up with a new nic or a new password.

however, signing out has been a challenge.  I was finally able to sign out from last night's session a few hours ago.  Now that I'm back, I'm wondering if I'll have the same thing happen again?

@QVCkitty1  Quite a few of us had to alter our nicknames. I went from Nicksmom to NicksmomESQ.Would have preferred to keep Nicksmom but I had no choice.

@NicksmomESQ   I changed mine back by creating a new account..a new customer. It may sc*ew up the easy pay, but OH WELL, their problem. This stinks since I don't recognize my "friends" by new names. I think those that had to change nics should DEMAND to have it changed back. Afterall, this is THEIR issue, not ours. Why should we be inconvenienced?

How were you lucky enough to maintain your post count @Shanus if you opened a new account?

@gertrudecloset   I opened it in my husband's name to be able to sign in, but then within 10 minutes when I was able to reach CS, I complained royally and told them I wanted to change back to my acct. with @Shanus as it was. They deleted DH's acct. and put mine back as before. In those 10-15 minutes, I never posted w/ the new nic I had to choose.

@Shanus   well you had better luck!    i too called CS, yesterday, about being unable to sign in.  the CS agent patiently trying to troubleshoot, however was not able to make any changes to fix the glitch, let alone account deletion.  they said IT would be back on Monday and they would put in a ticket

I suggest they put in a new line in the Q Budget....for a new up-to-date IT department. This is not rocket science in 2021. Only large retail website I keep running into this problem.

Re: New nickname

[ Edited ]

I lost my much loved "free2be" nic which they replaced with something I used so long ago I have only the vaugest recall of it.  It doesn't matter all that much, small stuff.  I'll create a siggy for an identity bridge.  I do think this is a rude way to handle whatever is going on with their data base and am not convinced it has anything to do with one person making a false claim about themselves which has happened here every day for years in some form.

ETA:  It appears it was changed back within minutes of my post here.  My head is spinning. What the heck is going on?

I must have missed all the "excitement" because I wasn't forced to change my nic name.

Wow, I just got signed in after about 25 tries!  No nickname problems, just a constant circle of being sent back to the QVC home page every time I tried to sign in for the boards.      Yesterday I was able to get in on my PC, but not on my iPad.  PC just stayed signed in, as some other posters were mentioning.  But no luck getting signed on with my iPad until just now. Whew.

OK, if you say so Shanus.  Seems to me you'd have to post in your old new nic to make those demands and that thread is nowhere to be found.  But, if you say so.  @Shanus
