Re: New Royal Rift: Kate and Camilla

Kate is hangry. She will get over it after Xmas pudding.

Re: New Royal Rift: Kate and Camilla

[ Edited ]

I understand Camilla wishes to be called Queen Camilla rather than the title "Queen Consort", which is what her mother in-law, the Queen had planned for her when Charles ascended the throne. It does not surprise me that she is throwing her weight around. I have never had much respect for her. IMHO, she is a homewrecker and a constant reminder of the period of time when the royal family was grieving over the sudden loss of Diana, the mother of William and Harry. I don't think they have ever been close to her. I don't recall ever seeing a photo of Camilla with William and Harry without Charles, whom I guess was the "buffer", The wicked stepmother, indeed. I wonder if she expected William and Harry to accept her as their mother; it is clear that has never happened. Seeing them during the funeral in close proximity , one could feel the tension. I wonder how she would get along with Meghan, if she and Harry had elected to stay in the working family.

Re: New Royal Rift: Kate and Camilla

The same old double standard--Camilla is always labeled the "homewrecker" but I've never seen that term aimed at Charles.  He is just as guilty, if not more so, because he is the more powerful of the two.  Camilla certainly didn't hold a gun to his head to make him have an affair with her.  Camilla broke up HER home, and Charles broke up HIS.  If Camilla broke up Charles' home, then Charles broke up Camilla's.

I also wonder when the media will start referring to Kate as Catherine, Princess of Wales (or the nickname Princess Kate) instead of Kate Middleton.  Why is she still being addressed by her maiden name?  To me, it shows a lack of respect for her.

@DottieBlue Oh I always called Charlie a homewrecker as well. It takes two and he was a willing participant. And now the two of them, who cheated on their spouses, are king and queen consort. Isn't that special! The UK is welcome to them.

Re: New Royal Rift: Kate and Camilla

if we even believe all of these latest royal rumblings.....

all will be fine in the years to come......Queen Consort Camilla is having her time, Princess Catherine will eventually have her time...... if it wasnt supposed to be this way then Queen Elizabeth could have changed the entire scenario.

Hasn't Kate pretty much latched onto William's coat tails?  What's the difference?

Furthermore Camilla is The Queen - she's superior to everyone except King Charles.

@FranandZoe - actually, Camilla is Queen Consort, not just a regular queen. I don't really know the difference.

What I read earlier was that a "Queen" was born into the Royal Family (if something were to happen to Charlotte's brother, she would be a Queen); and a Queen Consort marries into the Royal Family (so if Diana had lived she would have been a Queen Consort).

@debfau  You are correct. A queen ascends to the throne through succession while a queen consort is the wife of the reigning monarch.

When did they misbehave? I've not seen this from George and Charlotte, but then we don't see all of it. Now Louis is another story. Good thing he was left at home!

During the Queen's Funeral.  I read it more than once.  Obviously you didn't....that's when @KKJ .  You can search the story and it will come up.

Good grief, why so defensive? I wasn't saying YOU or the article were wrong. Was saying it's wrong of Camilla to think the kids were misbehaving.

@KKJ Didn't you ask a question?  Good grief?  Talk about double standards.  I answered and you're still blowing smoke through the nose.

Crime is at a high. Please worry about that fact. A thirteen year old girl was shot in the subway. A 32 year old man was thrown from the train tracks. People are getting killed every day. Now those are facts.

There are a lot of facts to be discussed, much of which we can't discussed here.  This is called shooting the messenger, which one should never do.  You can find this information just like I did.  Oh great deflection that doesn't work for "me." @Janey2
