I am all for paperless billing or whatever. You can print it out------but I don't need anymore wasted paper for anything especially if you are paying for to get it mailed--makes no sense at all!!.

I am not as concerned about the new paperless billing or else $2. surcharge on your QCard bill. I went on the Synchrony site and signed up for the paperless billing so as not to be charged the surcharge.

I am much more concerned though about Synchrony's newly announced (I got an email from them) change in terms raising their monthly interest rate on any QCard balance to over 53%! This is usury. They can get by with it because federal and state laws and regulations, as well as a well-established U.S. Supreme Court decision, have held that usury laws and regulations do not apply to credit cards - only financial institutions that do lending like banks and credit unions, etc.

I haven't fully researched it but I am not aware of any credit card that charges anything remotely near this interest.

I will never use my QCard again. I plan to always choose an alternate method of payment when I check out.

Amazon is now also using Synchrony so I will do the same there- paying 53% interest on any Amazon balance I might have would be horrible!

I wonder if the Q is exploring changing their QCard to a charge card provider other than Synchrony.

Buyers are going to notice they are paying 53% monthly interest if they leave a balance on their bill plus about 80% penalty interest if their payment arrives late.

My Amazon account is partnered with my Chase account, not Synchrony.

@participant2  I believe you mean 35%?! I have paid off my Qcard balance and will not be using it for future purchases. On the occasion that I might use it, I will pay the balance in full!

We need paper bills, my husband has no clue how to use the bank bill pay but does know how to write a check.

I could show and tell him how to do it until I was blue in the face and it's in one ear and out the other.

If you pay off the credit card in full every month it doesn't matter what the interest charge is.  Why do people carry a balance????

I believe it's 35% and not 58%.  It doesn't matter because I pay off my balance every month.
