Don't you all know? This is great and we can all afford it. Or so I've been told.

Our natural gas rate here went up 28%. It went into effect this month. But the utilities company said the increase is temporary and will come back down in May.
I have a gas furnace and water heater. They are both high efficiency units plus I just had my house upgraded with more insulation in the walls and attic along with some upgraded weatherproofing in certain areas. It's very airtight and there are no drafts. All of those efforts will help save energy.
It's the electricity part of my bill that I'm concerned about. That is the most expensive part of my utility bill. That and water cost way more than natural gas. Water is so expensive here.
