Maybe if the phrases,

'carinsurancecomparison.com',

'Car Insurance Comparison analyzed...' and

'the spokesman for Car Insurance Comparison'

weren't mentioned, oh, a zillion times throughout the various articles,

it might be taken more seriously.

Yes, they used info from the National Highway

Traffic Safety Administration, but having it so HEAVILY

sponsored by the company Car Insurance Comparison,

I read it w/ raised eyebrow.  Accurate?   Ahhhhhhhhh.....m.a.y.b.e.

Well, since I haven't driven in every state in the US I couldn't say where the worst drivers are.  I can say that there are a lot of really bad ones where I live, but everyone says that about where they live.

I remember hearing on a news report a number of years ago that the worst drivers were in Boston.

How anyone comes up with this kind of statistic is beyond me.

I think there are bad drivers no matter what state you live in, I've seen plenty of them in the Chicago area. I also saw my share when I lived in CA & upstate NY.

That's a perfect example! My favorite is that mess out by MOA and the airport!

I always heard it was California.

IMO, only SoCal, not the whole state 😜  SoCal has a very high proportion of immigrant drivers.

I think that got started because CA driving rules and laws can be different to other states. When someone moves to CA (as so many have done over the decades) they think we are driving badly, but we are driving according to our state laws. And if a CA driver moves out of state, they need a wee bit of time to become comfortable with completely different traffic laws.

Wisconsin drivers may not be the worst, but some of them are the drunkest.  It actually gets rather scary to see them weave back and forth on the roadway.
