Since pandemic I have started knitting again - that is putting it loosely - mucking knitting up more appropriate - but I persist.  Here are some of my latest efforts.

Just undone 30 rows of knitting half the pattern on wrong side and very noticeable .  Thought I was very clever knitting and watching t.v.   Of course I know pattern should all be on one side duh!  Redo tomorrow!

Beautiful hand painted yarn making sweater from top down - very new for me - doing o.k. Then presto lots of 'short rows' now across shoulder, back neck, shoulder'.  YouTube here I come have not got a clue about this - tomorrow!

Oh joy parcel arrived today with more yarn - I have joined online knitting group to make sweater commencing end of next week when above two projects should be finished (or not)!

Lordy, Lordy save me from my crafting - plan for tomorrow swimming early a.m. then electricity all off from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in our area so I have all day to work industriously on my crafts!

@dulwich  🤣 You like your LOGO sweaters so just forget spending

money on yarn and buy more LOGO.

@Pearlee  DH would agree as 'the anguish involved' when I am in my 'knitting corner' he says affects the whole house!  Not true, of course!  Roll on tomorrow lol.

I'm shameless. 😊

I knit while watching YouTube knitting podcasts.  It's relaxing.

@tansy   I am very impressed with your skills!

@Pearlee   DH just commented 'do you remember what it was like before you knitted - peace and tranquility'.  Treating this remark with the contempt it deserves - I have ways of making him suffer haha - will order more yarn! Lol.

Re: My Arty Crafty Adventures

@dulwich I'm 73 and started knitting in high school, I love it.

For some years I belonged to a now-defunct knitting charity that knitted for babies in need. I loved doing booties and had a pattern that used short rows and LOVE the look of short rowing.

It's really easy when you get the knack of it!

Re: My Arty Crafty Adventures

@dulwich  - Love your knitting stories, they bring a smile to my face. I'm not a knitter (wish I had paid attention to my Mom when she tried to teach me), I can knit/purl and that's it - my purl stitches are always loose. So, I quilt! And, for that, I have my own room with all of my own toys, lol.

Have you watched any of the Grocery Girls videos on you tube? They are from Canada and are avid knitters. I don't know if they do any type of instructions but they do talk about different yarns and show things they made.
