I think some of the posts on THIS thread were removed since this morning. When I first read it, before I posted there were several snide comments. Not really mean, but sort of nasty. There was one I thought that did make an insinuation .

I don't get it. Ellen is a nice human being. Lord knows the women works like heck, and pays her taxes. In fact her taxes alone probably support a small school district in LA, LOL! She is lways helping people, she employs many people whom she treats with great respect. I personally know 2 people who worked with her (one still does) at Warner studio, they love her. How rumors get started, is a disgruntled employee spreads untruths, or half truths. Anyway, I don't like many of the things she has sold , or is selling up to this point, but someone does. To each their own! Why she does this, who knows. I think she just loves the business she is in. I mean she really loves it. High energy gal.

They love her on the lot at WB. She throws pizza parties, BBQ's, surprise birthday parties for strangers in the WB lot. She gifts employees and people she hardly knows all the time. She has a kind and generous spirit. I think that is why she does so well. People she works with do like her.

No, I am not kidding. I am not an Ellen fan but it has NOTHING to do with her s... "orientation", if that is the insinuation. And if that is the insinuation, I find it insulting and offensive.

You may have forgotten about a very small yet very vocal group that vowed to ruin JCP for choosing Ellen as their spokesperson...for one reason and one reason only. We all know what that reason was!

Yes I can remember that. I like Ellen but because someone doesn't...does not mean that it has anything to do with her sexuality...it can mean they just do not care for her for other reasons.

It seems that it doesn't matter whether a person is famous or not, some people are cruel to them just the same. It happens on this board a lot, usually posters being mean to each other.

If you click on the person who made the derogatory comment you will understand why. Many (many meaning not all) of them fit an unfortunate stereotype. I find it comical. And I'm sure Ellen is used to it. If this message board suddenly demanded we post under our real names posters would be just as venomous as they are under their anonymous names. Once a person steps over the line of decency there's no going back.

It's childish and rude, but it will always happen as long as there is an internet. Bullies are cowards, and posting anonymously is the perfect arena for them. The same thing happens here. I don't pay them any attention--their comments say more about themselves than they do about the people they are bashing. Sad, angry little people. I feel sorry for them, really.

I was going to post this! On facebook, no matter what the privacy settings, a persons "likes" are public. I frequently click on people who post nasty or blunt or intrusive posts and I too see a definite pattern about them. It's rare that one of the nasties likes don't fit the pattern.
