Heard on the news earlier this evening that they told the families of the ones that were on board this flight that they may as well go home now. Believe they are just about to give up on finding the plane.

That will be hard for all of them to do......The pain they have been going through has had to have been the most horrible thing to go through.

I don't for one minute believe that anyone will give up trying to find the plane or black box.

After all, it took 2 years or so to find the French plane.

Maybe not, but do believe they are getting close to where they aren't reporting as much and are just about done with that part of this incident......

You giving up on the theory that it might have landed somewhere and we may see a repainted version of it when we least expect it?

I'm not been convinced by anyone or anything that it didn't land somewhere. Look how many years Osama was in Pak. before it was done in. Wouldn't put any thing past this country and seems like they get a coupe bill($$$$)from us every year.

They didn't say no one was looking for the plane any more. They just aren't going to pay for the hotel rooms for the families indefinitely.

I find it interesting that the flight recording has been edited......it's been altered.......the question is why.....................................raven

They said they'll probably give up the air searches but will continue searching with the submersible indefinitely. I imagine Malaysia is getting tired of paying those hotel bills.

kachina.....I feel that is their responsibility, as the airlines is owned by Malaysia I believe.....these people have a right to know what is going on there on a day to day basis....I know I would want to know.

Yes, that is what they said. I am now wondering how many other countries are going to continue the submersible searches......that is very expensive too.

There is just so much that is unknown......

Well, there comes a time when people , though they will personally keep hoping the plane did land and they are alive, have to get back to their own lives and start rebuilding without that loved one. A friend of ours was widowed last summer - the day after her DH's funeral she said to me that she finally understands what the saying TODAY IS THE FIRST DAY OF THE REST OF YOUR LIFE really meant. At some point these families have to start the rest of their lives.And it is past time for that to happen, IMO.
