Re: Mail Delivery and Trash Pickup

Mail delivery is great but trash is another story....days late & the cost has gone from $53.00 quarterly in 2021 to $70.00 with a warning the cost may increase again this year.

If you're in the city, call your city council.  If in the county, a county commissioner.

Re: Mail Delivery and Trash Pickup

A lot of people are out sick right now. Local police, fire, EMTs have 1/3 of workforce out sick. When I went to the bank this week there was only one teller and a line wrapped around the building. We are wasaaaaay short at work. RNs out either with Covid, flu or an ugly bronchitis - or all of the above.

Mail delivery the no change.

Trash typically one extra day since last summer.

Same where I live.  I even at times get mail delivered on Sunday.  We recently were informed that we'd have a new company picking up our trash and recycles, but they are the same time schedule as our previous.

Re: Mail Delivery and Trash Pickup

We've had no problem with our Waste Management service.  About 2 years ago, they decided they'd just pick up recycling once every two weeks, which isn't nearly often enough to get rid of all the cardboard.

Mail is delivered daily now about 5pm after coming before noon for years.

That's a cryptic post as in your other reply in this post, what exactly are you saying?

No mail and no trash pickup delays here.  Even in the worst days of Covid, there were no delays in those things.

Re: Mail Delivery and Trash Pickup

We have been very fortunate with the USPS fiasco and never had mail issues at all. We

also never have had fed ex or UPS problems either. Comes right to the door when promised.  Now trash pick, we stopped. It went up to 80$ a quarter. Ridiculous and sometimes it wouldn't get picked up...but that was rare.  So we got a 40$ a year dump pass and we load out recycle, trash, any metal, mattresses, box springs in other words anything in the pick up and take it to the dumpster at the local dump.  Love it. Cut the cord with trash folks and cut the cord with cable years ago.  We have saved a good amount of cashflow!

Re: Mail Delivery and Trash Pickup

single house, not in a gated community.

we have had no issues with trash and recycling. trash one day, recycling one day. the ONLY time we have issues is when it snows or if there is ice. so far, no problems since winter began.

USPS is another story. we have had issues for at least two years now. we did not get mail yesterday other than one package. today we got a large stack of mail delivered plus packages. we never know what to expect. the most disappointing delivery service available. all others do a good job.....UPS, fedex, amazon, DHL.
