Laura Geller item ordered from Zulliy.  Sent out finally and arrived at my post office Dec 7  (MD location).  At which time it was then transferred to someplace in NJ that I have never heard of.  Then it was sent to another NJ location.  Since I don't live in NJ the item was in limbo.  I am still tracking it to its destination in a place called Freehold.... perhaps that is where packages are sent to have a free place to be.... not sure.  In any case.  UPS did not drop the ball it was the postal service and our local post office does not answer phones this time of the year. I  would give  up except for the fact I really wanted it.

Hi @bonnielu .. I have had several similar experiences with the USPS.  I live in NJ.  I have had packages arrive in NJ then sent out of State and back again.  I asked at my local post office for an explanation ... They had no idea.  Eventually I do receive the package.

Arrived finally.  Amazing how it could have gotten so lost.

My Slatkin package has been sitting in Phoenix since 11/22.  Issued a refund.  Great customer service.

You all are not going to believe this one.  I tried two days to reach our main post office. They are not answering calls.  I have them on speed dial or what ever it is called.  I had just  about given up.  Okay here goes.  My phone dropped on the floor and I heard it ring and THE POST OFFICE picked up and someone actually answered.  She followed the scan info and told me the package was lost, was sent to the wrong place BUT WOULD BE ON ITS WAY TOMORROW FROM N.J. TO MY AREA.  The package did arrive HERE locally but someone scanned it and decided to send it to NJ. I guess for fun.  I live in Western Maryland.

@bonnielu

So glad you tracked it down!  I won't hold my breath until it comes, though! animated-smileys-laughing-016.gif I tried for three days to get my local post office to pick up the phone.  I had $800 in missing purchases.  Luckily I had the tracking numbers, so when the P.O.  finally answered the phone, I gave them the numbers and they tracked them down! They're supposed to be delivered tomorrow! (hopefully) I think the UPS is a little overwhelmed this year!!!

I almost said to the P.O. employee, "don't make me come down there!"  Instead, I thanked her for all her hard work.  She was so appreciative!

I have a terrible time with USPS. I ordered a sweater from Macy's and it was suppose to be delivered today. Well lo  and behold the postman returned to sender because of incorrect address. Do I believe this ----no. I have been doing business with Macy's for years and never had a problem. My mail gets lost or delivered to some place else. Who knows. I have signed up for Informed Delivery and have let them know many times I have not received the mail. Nothing is ever done.

I called Macy's and they are sending me another sweater. I will receive it in two days by UPS.

Whenever they state that my package will arrive by 8PM by USPS, I know it is questionable if I will get the package. No wonder USPS lost 3 billion dollars last year.

Update: I called USPS this morning and found out the scanning was incorrect. Supposedly, the package will be delivered today. So now, I will have two sweaters. I will return one. What a mess.

I remember I ordered a pair of jeans from QVC  a while ago and I live in central NJ. I was able to track the package after it was shipped from a warehouse in SC it was a couple of days later when I check again and it was by that time in NY oh good I thought one state over across the river. It did not come the next day or the day after that. I went on line to check and it was in Delaware... WHAT? are you kidding me I thought I called QVC and they could not give me a answer I wanted to hear just excuses. I checked and the pants kept traveling on and on... until it landed in Florida, and then came to me a week later. It travelled more then I did that year.

I had a package from a mail order pharmacy make it to a sorting facility in Indianapolis and then was never seen again. Called about it and was told finding it would be like finding a needle in a haystack. So even with a tracking number the USPS would do nothing. Stopped using mail order pharmacy because of this.

In September I ordered a pair of Clark's loafers.  To this day, I have yet to receive them.  After several calls to the P. O., it was deemed "lost in transit".  Was refunded.

Somewhere someone is wearing a pair of great loafers.
