He cannot get a break! I was wondering why the other guy for two nights and then this squeaky-voiced woman last night who I had to turn off.

I just read that Lester had to take a leave of absence because of illness in his family. OMG, I hope it is not serious and he will be back soon. He did well, kept up the ratings and, after all these years, he gets his chance and fate intervenes?

I feel so bad for him.

I like Lester a lot and hope he can come back asap. He'd be a fine replacement for Brian Williams whose credibility is, rightly or wrongly, gone. I watched the news last night and the "squeaky voiced" woman with chipmunk cheeks is Savannah Guthrie. I don't like her either.

The short article gave no information about who is sick or with what condition. So we have no idea of the length of time he will be gone.

I believe they are taking Lester Holt off of anchoring the weekend evening newscasts and rightfully so. He needs a few days off like anybody would. I didn't know why Savannah was doing the show last night.
