Mmmm....houses that smell like cinnamon are the best kinds of houses.

Mellie, love your enthusiasm for the holidays. I enjoyed reading this thread and since I have had a pretty rough year, I haven't been looking forward to the holidays all that much. Reading through your thread, kind of puts me in the spirit of the season. Thanks....

As will I. I have off work for the Veteran's Day holiday, which gives me a 3-day weekend. I will spend the weekend cleaning, cleaning, and cleaning and then will decorate the kitchen. We always have a big Thanksgiving dinner and I love to have the kitchen decorated for the holidays for that dinner. The entire kitchen will be finished in time for Thanksgiving.

And then come Thanksgiving weekend, DH and I will do the rest of the house, both inside and outside. I love lights, so he always does the outside of the house and our front yard trees in tons and tons of lights. We have three Christmas trees, our traditional tree in the living room, the white tree with blue lights and blue balls in the kitchen, and our Santa Claus and reindeer tree with red lights back in our bedroom. Our stockings and the stockings for each and every furkid (cats and dog) will be hung on the railing by the stairs.

I just love decorating for Christmas! I can't wait!

We always decorate for Christmas early, too, and leave it up for as long as possible.  Don't think I need anything else this year, because I did pretty well at the clearance sales last January.  Just a wreath for the door, and we're all set !!!

Let us know about your classroom decorations, Mellie. Hope everything turns out pretty, and your students have lots of fun.

Putting up a tree and all this early?

You must not have kids.

@Lila Belle  Mellie said in less than a month not the day of her post.

We have Halloween threads two months before October so I guess those posters don't have children, either.
