@Drythe  Did you read that the Zimbabwe government has dropped all charges against the guide and dentist who killed Cecil the lion?   I guess they figured if they waited awhile until the furor died down,  people would forget about it and they can continue with business as usual.   It's a tragedy they are so irresponsible in guarding and protecting their own resources,  namely their magnificent wildlife. 

I also recently heard that Cecil's brother had died but don't remember the circumstances.

Last I read, the brother seemed to have died of natural causes.

ITA, it's horrible, a miscarriage of justice, that the dentist got away with it.

I agree with everything you say.  Additionally, (sorry to offend anyone) but, Zimbabwe is a corrupt country. 

As usual money talks.

It just breaks my heart.

I pray that someday there will be justice for these poor creatures who have no choice, who have no voice.

@Drythe  Agree on the corruption.   I read when he first took office,  the president was responsible for the deaths of about 24,000 citizens.   No wonder he's not worried about a lion,  plus he probably gets a kick back.
