I don't decorate any longer for Christmas, except for my creche. I liked it when the tree went up a few days before Christma,s and stayed up until epiphany was over. That is how the traditional Christmas was celebrated before fake trees and greens. But you are happy so enjoy

I already set my clocks back an hour,  now to see who 'springs ahead'.

I've never had a real tree.  I'm not sure I could tolerate it with my allergies.

Growing up we always had a real tree. In fact I think I always had a real tree up until about 15 years ago. An artificial tree is just so much easier. We put a real tree on the back deck as we can see it from LR,DR and kitchen. So beautiful with the lights when it snows.

In 35 minutes it will be Veterans Day.

Sure will.  We had a wonderful day in my classroom making Thanksgiving cards for the military guys and gals who won't be home for the holiday.  We also created construction paper figures for each of the branches of armed forces and wrote adjectives describing the people who choose that path.  The kids loved it and many said they wanted to be like the heroes we have today.
