@pigletsmom

That might be it, but he may not want to spend any time with us after this: My husband went to a costume shop and bought two silicone eyes and we each put one on our forehead and sent him a picture saying:

Dear David,

                  Now that you know the dark secret that we’re left handed, we have something else to tell you.

@Malcontent  - I don't understand why being left handed is an issue or even a concern - especially to a teenager.

@San Antonio Gal

My husband and I and the boys parents don’t understand either. He told his mom (DIL) that he just thinks it’s weird that we’re left handed.

All I can say is that the lefties that I've known have the most beautiful and creative handwriting.

Just very beautiful to see and receive, especially via holiday cards.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@Malcontent love your and your DH's photo idea. Very funny! Your grandson will get over it - especially with your good humor. His over reaction could be partly embarrassment that he never noticed your left handedness all these years. Thanks for the chuckle.

Both my hands were burned as a small child by accident.

When I went to Catholic school, the nun tied my left hand behind my back to make me write right handed.

Than hand had more damage than my left.

My Mother pulled me out of school and sent me to public school.

This was back in the 40's. Before anyone had rights.

Several left handers in our family, our youngest being one of them.

Didn't get it from the Italian side, but from the Irish side.

Not sure if there is any science behind this but all the people I know who are left handed tend to be highly intelligent and talented, including some famous presidents and other famous people.  Unfortunately I'm not one of them🥲

I don't understand why anyone would attempt to change this on any child.
