That letter is typical political BS and CYA and nothing else. It says nothing at all of substance or action.  “We’ll try to do better, because we have to say we’ll try to do better, what would you expect us to say?”

Whoever wrote that letter is an idiot.  If it was from someone at the University, they did more harm than good.  What were they thinking?  It puts them in such a bad light.

There are a lot of people who suppress their conscience for a cover-up, that was one of them.

Nope, I don't think they have a consieince. They have a love of money, its disgusting and disturbing. I think we would be shocked if we knew just how many people knew and chose to be silent and do nothing.

I saw one of the girls saying she had told someone at the college and nothing happened.

I don't think this would have ever happened at  U of M.  They are a very politically savvy bunch ,and people would have contacted the TV news

Students would have been out on the streets marching ,and rioting

The truth is that we will never truly know if they knew or not. I tend to think that they probably didn’t know. The university president is right to protect the university and, therefore, I believe that’s evidence that they didn’t know. That’s what lawyers would advise them.
