Re: Just received this notice from my bank

[ Edited ]

Off-topic a bit, but CT is trying to lure some teachers out of retirement to help out.  Our COVID rates are very high, and I have a hard time imagining an older person wanting to expose themselves.  Even though vaxed, boosted, flu shots, DH and I rarely leave our home.

My SIL’s father is a “long-hauler” who survived COVID. He will be on oxygen 24/7 for the rest of his life.  And FIL’s cousin just passed while in hospital with COVID.

Please stay safe everyone!!

@PamfromCT  So sorry for your family. Didn't know this when I wrote my other post to you. Now I know how you feel.

My bank is back to drive-thru only, unless you make and appointment because you need something that can't be covered through drive-thru service.

Re: Just received this notice from my bank

Me personaly have not stepped into a bank in over eight years.  All of my banking is done online.  I do occasionally use the drive thru ATM.  I wear a mask and always have gloves on, that's just me.

Same from my bank.  They are closing some branches.  In many ways, it seems as though it's worst now than in the beginning of the pandemic. Most of my banking is online though.  Been a while since I've been in a branch.

o/t I just ordered N95 surgical disposable masks from Amazon.  They are expensive but they're 3 ply and much more effective against COVID/variants.

We had the same experience this week.  Major bank, mid-day, mid-week....closed.

Re: Just received this notice from my bank

Some branch banks here closed during lockdown.  There is very little that anyone has to go into a bank for now so business was way down.  Some of the very small branches never did reopen.  If they don't have the workers to staff the banks or any other business, they have close or cut back on hours of operation.  Many of the Starbucks here close at 2pm because staffing is limited.

@ellaphant    Our governor announced today that qualified National Guard members are getting a quickie teacher training course and will be filling in in schools.

@Kachina624 , That is interesting! I'd love to be a fly on the wall.... Smiley Wink

Re: Just received this notice from my bank

I haven't been inside our B of A branch in probably 15 years when I needed notary service and didn't want to go to my husband's office. It was free at B of A and closer, so I went there. I do all our banking on-line and I probably write less than 20 checks a year on our personal account. I only do banking on my laptop, not on my tablet.

It seems like so many entry level jobs are a thing of the past or have become jobs no one wants to do anymore. When I was a child I thought being a mailman was the best job ever because you got to wear shorts to work in the summer. Then I wanted to work in the bank because you got to touch all that MONEY. Smiley Happy Times are different for sure.
