All you do is go to your PP account and view the transaction there under Activity list. In the transaction listing click Request return shipping refund then follow the instructions. You will need to upload a copy of your receipt for the return postage there. @LTT1

@SeaMaiden wrote:@viva923 Why don’t you have a backup credit card? Just pay it off each month....I use my visa for every purchase.. including groceries....I pay it off end of month...no interest. I rack up thousands of points that I make money back on .....hundreds of dollars a year.....FREE MONEY just for using the card!
ITA people need to have backup credit cards ... maybe more than one.
Emergencies happen ... cars break down .... relatives thousands of miles away die and you need to leave immediately without benefit of shopping for best flight discounts ..... even emergency room costs happen without warning. The proverbial "rainy day".

I agree paying off credit cards each month is the way to go. Points are valuable, and fun to get. I pay amex off every month. I have 2 store cards, and qvc! I pay them off almost every month if I use them. Sometimes I break them into 2 payments. I can pay them off, I just Dont always, as We really dont owe money, so my credit is not hurt. That said, there are those who do not have the discipline, will power or money to pay off every month. I know people, a daughter included , who just go off on a spree and do not paycredit off, even when they have the cash. My daughter does not tempt herself, and pays cash, because she knows how she can be, and has bailed herself out, and wont go back there again. So I can totally understand people not having credit, It takes planning and a small savings... But to each their own

PayPal doesn't report to a credit bureau but it also doesn't help your credit either. If anyone is looking to build credit, getting PP Credit does nothing for them.
They do set up monthly payments, like a regular credit card, and if you default on payments, they will send you to a collection agency and that agency will report negatively on your credit report.

Here's one thing you should know if you use Paypal. I found out when I would shop with evine.
At the time, this was a few years ago, you could not exchange items if you used paypal. You'd have to return the item and then you could order another.
So if you are into exchanging items, that could be problematic. (This was a few years ago. It might have changed.)

Could you advise if "exchanges" (free-exchange policy) are not possible using Paypal, this will certainly pose an issue if this is the case. Thanks!
