I guess all the docs are on this thread.

People are having a conversation, adding what they know from experience, adding what they find from reading on or off the internet. I'll never understand the desire to post a comment such as the one I quoted, attempting to mock or ridicule others for simply participating in a discussion. It sheds light on the person doing the mocking, nothing more nothing less.

Yes, and unless they are a cardiologist, anesthesiologist or medical examiner they should not even speculate. Obviously the family knew much more than released or they would not have removed her from life support. And, with Joan's personal net worth money was not an object.

ITA dooBdoo. *Laughing* We come here to talk about stuff. We relate to current situations. We share experiences. Gee. What a novel idea.
To all the posters who get disgusted with various threads and topics here including games, what's for dinner, animal stories, etc., just start your own thread on topics that please you. Simple? Done.

This information that the OP wrote about is not new news. It was reported again on the day Joan had the procedure and went into cardiac arrest. Don't know why everyone is just now commenting on it.
Joan spoke of this often over the past decades when interviewed about her many plastic surgeries. It was her one biggest fear, although it never stopped her from having the surgeries. She always took the risk.
I'm afraid over time she just put her body and brain through too many types of anesthesia's, considering she had cardiac problems.

I wasn't purporting that it was "news," but with so much speculation and armchair doctors giving opinions, I just thought it would be helpful to share what was reported from a relatively reputable source. I wasn't aware this was common knowledge, and many others might not have known either. If it helped make any sense out of this tragedy for someone, I thought it might help. No matter what the reason, however, I think it was simply her time, and I know we are all agreed, we will miss her terribly. This information that the OP wrote about is not new news. And this bothers you....why? Please, I'd sincerely like to know.

Haven't read or seen any "actual results" on the reason for her problem during this procedure. My own experiences, and I am 75 years old, and non of my doctors would do any of my many procedures any place but in a hospital.
Don't know what type of meds she was taking, but there are many that people my age are taking that can be responsible for serious situations happening during even very routine procedures.
When I needed an Oral Surgeon, he does/did 95% of his procedures in his office as an outpatient. No way would he do my procedure anyplace but in a hospital.
Seems strange to me she would be having this done at an Endoscopy Center. Don't know that it was an Endoscopy, but the clinics in our city that advertise as such do only Endoscopy and Colonoscopy, not anything else. If other procedures need to be done they do them in a hospital.
Anyone that wants to update me with "the facts" of the autopsy or other pertinent information that is true, I would really appreciate it.
