Since Amazon has everything, I no longer shop in stores.  I'd rather take my chances with Amazon than get in the car and go shopping.  I've never had any product arrive opened.

@Kachina624 I once received an opened empty package.  It was a small item and it appeared it was not properly sealed so the items probably simply fell out.  I just had them send a replacement. I did mention they needed to better seal the package, and the replacement was sealed better, so it appears they actually listened to me.

My understanding is a lot of what happens in Amazon warehouses is automated.  And then the question is did this theft happen at the warehouse?  How many hands did it go through?  Was it fulfilled by Amazon and delivered by Amazon?  If so, then maybe Amazon does have a problem that they need to deal with, but they need to know they have the problem in the first place.  If it wasn't fulfilled AND delivered by Amazon, who knows what actually happened and who might have stolen the items?

I sometimes see an Amazon truck around town, but I rarely receive my orders from Amazon.  Usually it's either USPS or UPS.  USPS actually has a different delivery route for Amazon packages.

@Icegoddess.  On the occasions when I get a glimpse of them, it seems many of my Amazon packages are delivered by contractors in their own cars.

Amazon has always worked with me.  Either a refund, or a new item if you wanted.  They never gave me a bad time. Great Customer Service.

I know it happened while being boxed, don't see any other way it could had been done.
