Re: Is there a chore you LOATHE doing?

Folding and putting away laundry. If I had my way, I would just use the clothes out of the basket all week.😀

I am right there with you! Grocery shopping is my number one thing that I just don't want or like to do. I have discovered if I go really early in the morning the store is not crowded and I can get in and out pretty quickly. However I still don't like it!!

Yup or late in the evening.  When I had to grocery shop, I did it at the grocery store that was open until midnight.  No little kids, no baby carriages, no elderly people.  I remember I could zip around from aisle to aisle get it all done with no aggravation and no long lines and squabbles over coupons and all that stuff.  But there quite a few shoppers because people worked nights would do their grocery shopping before they went home.

For me it's paying the bills. Even though the money's in the bank, I just keep putting it off till the very last minute. I just hate sitting down and making the online payments and/or writing out those checks. Ugh. Hate it.

@bikerbabe, I love your reply!  I live alone and have health issues so I have been known to do exactly that, lol...   Woman LOL

I used to not like (hate) grocery shopping. I love to cook but not shop for food.

Now, I really enjoy it. I stopped going when I had just eaten lunch......the food in the store was revolting and I could hardly wait to get out. I go when I am slightly hungry and everything just seems to inspire me. I know, I know.....this is not the norm but it works for me.

I also do NOT make lists. To me, they stagnate my creative flow. I know this sounds odd but when I changed these behaviors, I found I actually love to grocery shop.

@Regal Bee The shopping is fine, I hate unloading it and putting it all away.

I clean my bathroom sink and toilets every day, but hate to clean soap scum off shower walls, or scrub the bathtub.

I don't mind to dust with a swiffer duster on furniture, or floors, but I don’t like to clean ceiling fans.

I HATE vacuuming, mopping floors, and shopping.

Washing the kitchen floor.  I've tried many contraptions, but the only way to get it really clean is on hands and knees.  My back still aches by the time I have to do it again.

@VanSleepy I am impressed you get on your hands and knees, I have not done that in a few years. I just bought a steamer and it does a good job. Before that it was Don Asslet's mop and that worked well.

Oh, the hands and knees isn't every week!   I use the other stuff in between.  I splurged on the Bissell Crosswave and was disappointed.  Maybe my floor is really dirty lol

@Its Me LuLuBelle2  I also squeegee and dry down the shower after each use.  Keep it clean with minimal effort!

@bikerbabe, @Sueliz ...  I used to work for someone who did that... One basket for dirty clothes and one for clean ones.  LOL
