I got a Swiffer Steamer when I had a coupon. It's doesn't clean the floors and those dumb Kotex looking pads are expensive. It's useless. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good floor steamer?

You're response made me LOL{#emotions_dlg.laugh} I have a dry Swiffer & just tuck the corners of microfiber cleaning cloths into the little slots, instead of buying those wasteful disposable cloths. I'm also in the process of knitting some from a sturdy cotton yarn.

I have an H2O floor steamer that works well for me, & also rig up my own pads for that, too.

Holly ... I just stick the pad in Hot water with Lysol. Sqeeze it out, stick it on and take off.

Oh thanks for explaining. I like the concept of it. I use disposaable swiffers but they are expensive.

I have a microfiber mop like the one Preds showed. I use murphys oil soap. I have a monster steamer but I don't think it does a thorough job.

I try to use my dh since my back operation but he isn't good at remembering or seeing it is in need so I get out my mop and bucket. I guess today is the day.

Was it the Thane H2O? I think they sell them on Amazon.

It's a lot like it ... may be. I like it better than the Haan I have now. (I finally remembered the name ...LOL)

Now I have an image of you sitting in your rocker knitting little Kotex looking pads for your Swiffer. So comfy and homey.

Funny story that has nothing to do with anything: I use the dry Swiffer on my hardwoods and the wet swiffer (the one with the pads, not the jet thing) for quick clean-ups on the tile. Well, my mother calls the Swiffer, the SWIFFLER, and my aunt calls it the SWIFTER. So whenever the Swiffer needs to come out, my family cracks itself up calling it all the wrong names. Dumb post; carry on.....
