1.   Pay attention to friends--you do not need "fair weather" friends.

2.  Think carefully about what you think, then what comes out of your mouth.

I don’t remember specific advice, however I was lucky to learn from her example. She was tough, fair, honest, hard working , and compassionate. Even through the sometimes contentious teenage years, I never doubted she loved me. She was my best friend and I miss her every day, but I was so very lucky to have her.🌺🌷🌺

Unfortunately my Mother had many problems of her own and had little time to school us kids on anything. Although, from living in that environment I learned how to be strong and survive. So I guess she did teach me something.

Regarding $$$ during a marriage...

Never let the left hand know what the right hand is doing. 

Put $5 every week in a hidden account for the "rainy day" that hopefully will never come.
